Qmee featured in Chicago Tribune
The Chicago Tribune reports that Qmee, an online search rewards firm, is on a quest for a new Chicago headquarters.

Qmee, a browser rewards company originally from the U.K., is looking to expand its presence in the United States and is hoping to make Chicago its new American hub. The Chicago Tribune recently spoke with co-founder Jonathan Knight about Qmee and its plans for US growth.

The article mentions that Qmee has hit the 440,000 user mark, with roughly half of those coming from the U.S. and says that in order to maintain that growth, a U.S. office is important.

Said Knight, “If you’re going to build an online business, you have to make it work in the States. There’s a great feeling in Chicago that people just get things done.”

The article goes on to say that Qmee is currently looking to hire an initial Chicago-based employee to work in the office of No Limit Agency, Qmee’s public relations firm. The company then will seek out office space as their U.S. operations grow.

According to Nick Powills, CEO of No Limit Agency and publisher of franchising magazine 1851, Qmee’s ease of use should make the company sustainable.

Said Powills, “It’s going to be a key demographic that drives them. It’s not going to be an upper class. They are seeing steady growth in the college-aged kids, and growth in those that really need those few extra dollars.”
